Vine Characteristics

Sovereign Coronation grapes are hardy, performing well in cool climates. They ripen early, typically from late August to early September. The vine is productive, especially in Ontario and British Columbia, where it is the most commonly grown seedless table grape.

Susceptibility to Diseases and Pests

Sovereign Coronation grapes are moderately susceptible to Phomopsis cane blight, black rot, and downy mildew, with highly susceptible reactions to botrytis bunch rot. The variety is slightly susceptible to powdery mildew, and exhibits some chemical sensitivity to common treatments like copper.
