Vine Characteristics
Maréchal Foch is a very vigorous variety, with a horizontal bearing and must be pruned long. The bunches and berries are small.
Wine Characteristics
This variety has good sugar accumulation potential. Maréchal Foch produces deeply colored, tannic wines of moderate quality, containing diglucoside anthocyanins. However, the wines can occasionally exhibit herbaceous notes.
Susceptibility to Diseases and pests
Maréchal Foch is moderately resistant to downy mildew.
