Jupiter
Vine Characteristics:
Jupiter vines exhibit strong vigor and can be trained to an upright growth habit. They are adaptable to diverse climates, including regions in the South and the Pacific Northwest. The variety is moderately hardy, tolerating temperatures down to approximately -23°C (-10°F). The berries ripen early, and the vines can produce high yields.
Fruit Characteristics:
Jupiter grapes are large, oval-shaped, and transition from reddish-blue to deep blue upon full ripeness. The variety produces medium to large conical clusters that are well-filled but not overly tight. Jupiter grapes offer a sweet taste with a mild muscat flavor and a pronounced floral aroma. The berries have a non-slipskin, semi-crisp texture, enhancing their appeal for fresh consumption.
Susceptibility to Diseases and Pests:
Jupiter vines exhibit moderate to strong resistance to fungal diseases and are notably resistant to fruit cracking.
